In 2019 Neste started a Eu1.65bn upgrade to its Singapore facility. A significant part of this was to develop Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). In 2019 it was producing 1.3m tons a year of sustainable products (not SAF), in 2013 this will reach $4.5bn. The project has involved 11,000 tons of piping, 900km of electric cable and 20m man hours.
